Getting started
So many cards.... where do I begin? Reminder, you can PLAY ONLINE.
I am a new player
First, see the Quick Start rules.
Second, play some Rage. If you have printed cards we tend to suggest sticking to Gaia cards to begin with. The best way to begin, though, is to use the semi-constructed decks from Call of the Sea (see below). Up to three players can play without needing to make sense of hundreds of cards.
Of course the best way to learn is being taught by an existing player. If there isn't anyone in your area, install Lackey and play online. Use the Forums, Facebook, or Discord to find an opponent. Note that the Lackey plugin comes with four preconstructed decks from across all the sets designed for new players to have fun.

I am a returning playerFor those who haven't played in a while, there are some changes. After refreshing your memory with the Quick Start rules, it is worth scanning the rules compendium for changes since you last played. There is colour coding on the text to help you. (We would encourage you to update yourself on the main combat rules, especially frenzy, since we have tried to make them a lot more consistent and balanced. Moots and Board Meetings also got a major overhaul to make them function a lot better in Gaia vs Wyrm settings.
When looking at the fan sets, we would also point you to Call of the Sea. It took all the lessons we learned through the previous blocks and condensed them into a very tight set, giving you an easy route into the current play environment. |
